Worship at St. Paul's
St. Paul's is following all current State and Diocesan Guidelines.
We hope to resume in-person, socially distant worship at the start of Lent. However, due to COVID-19, all worship offerings are subject to change.
First Sunday of Lent (2/21/21)
Limited, in-person worship with Holy Eucharist II will resume. There will be two services, at 8 and 10 am; 8am will be live-streamed on the YouTube channel "Virginia Heistand." As we use the HDA pew for live-streaming, if you need to use that pew and would like to attend in person we recommend that you come to the 10 am.
We hope to keep the services to 20-25 minutes in order to limit everyone's exposure to indoor, recirculated air. Given the winter weather, both services are likely to be indoors in the main church. This means space will be limited-thus, reservations are required. They can be made by calling the church office at (401)294-4357 ext. 105 by the Friday before the service at 1 pm.
As always, masks must be worn and 6 feet of social distancing must be maintained at all times. There can be no mingling.

Sung Compline for Lent.
Members of St. Paul's choir sing compline each week. The video will be updated each Wednesday. |
"The Book of Common Prayer is a treasure chest full of devotional and teaching resources for individuals and congregations, but it is also the primary symbol of our unity. As Armentrout and Slocum note in their Episcopal Dictionary of the Church, that 'Anglican liturgical piety has been rooted in the Prayer Book tradition since the publication of the first English Prayer Book in 1549.'
We, who are many and diverse, come together in Christ through our worship, our common prayer. The prayer book, most recently revised in 1979, contains our liturgies, our prayers, our theological documents, and much, much more." episcopalchurch.org/book-common-prayer

"I come with Christians far and near to find, as all are fed, the new community of love in Christ's communion bread. As Christ breaks bread and bids us share, each proud division ends. That love that made us makes us one, and strangers now are friends." #304, 1982 Hymnal, Verses 2&3
