Our Campus

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is set in the historic village of Wickford in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Within a quarter-mile campus, the church owns four treasured properties that include spaces of worship, the church’s offices, residences, and a large parish hall. St. Paul’s also has full access to hold services in The Old Narragansett Church (1707). The ONC was St. Paul’s worship space from 1707 until 1848, when the current St. Paul’s Church was built. Ownership of the ONC was transferred to the Episcopal Diocese of R.I. in 1914.

Accessibility: An accessible entrance to the church and chapel is available at the back of the church on Washington Street, where there is reserved handicapped parking. The church also features an accessible restroom in the office wing, ASL interpreters for some key services, and large print prayer books and hymnals are available upon request. Hearing loop users can switch their hearing aid to T-coil.

the old narragansett church
Picture
Owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island since 1914, the Old Narragansett Church is still an active part of the St. Paul’s experience. Built in 1707, the historic space is open for docent-led tours during the summer and hosts St. Paul’s Saturday evening services in the month of August. On the first Sunday in August, the church observes Queen Anne Sunday and uses the altar silver given to the church by Queen Anne. Under the leadership of Bishop Knisely, the ONC underwent a $300,000 structural renovation between 2020 and 2021 to ensure its viability for the next generation of St. Paul’s.
