Happy Epiphany Season!  I hope your Advent and Christmas brought Light into your lives so that people may see your good works and rejoice!

My term as Senior Warden ends at the Annual Meeting on January 29, so this is my last Communicant article.  Most of my writing came to you during our Interim time—what a challenging and exciting time that was.  Now we are blessed with the wise words of two exceptional clergy; I hope we listen well.  While I will be glad to have a bit of a breather, I have found that there is also a tinge of sadness ‑ endings of good things always have that.  A reminder to us to look to the One who is Endless and Forever.  I love this Parish and love serving it; I am always sure there is more to do and that the Spirit will make known what to do (or not do!) next.

When I read the following in the November Forward Day to Day, I knew it would be in this article to you.  It seems to say so well my purpose in writing to you as Senior Warden:   "Words matter, especially words that contain promise and hope of redemption and a better world.  No one of us is put on this world to be served but to serve. Amen."

May the abiding love of Jesus surround you, may you be blessed with hope and courage to work for good in our troubled world, and may peace fill your hearts.
