Linda Taraborelli – Director/Head Teacher
Mrs. Taraborelli has taught 4 year olds at St. Paul’s Nursery School from 1984 to present. Her previous teaching experience was teaching 3rd grade in Pascoag, RI. She took over as Director in 2001. Mrs. Taraborelli holds a B.S. degree from Rhode Island College in Elementary Education and has taken additional graduate courses in Education and Child Development. She has a current RI Certification in Early Childhood and in Elementary Education grades K-6. Mrs. Taraborelli has taken the R.I. Early Learning Standards Trainings (RILES) Levels I, II, and Level III with the R.I. Department of Education.
Lisa Carter – Teacher 4’sMs. Carter joined our staff in 2005. She has had many years of experience teaching in preschool, day care and substituting in public school. Ms. Carter holds a B.A. degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood and a major in Psychology from Rhode Island College. She is certified in RI in Elementary Education/Early Childhood grades Pre-K-6. Ms. Carter has taken the RILES training Level II.
Elise Kenyon - Teacher 4’sMrs. Kenyon is a new addition to our staff this year. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and is certified in RI in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Elise has taught for over 25 years at Wickford Nursery School. We are fortunate to have her join our staff at St. Paul’s. Mrs. Kenyon has taken the RILES Levels I & III and is taking Level II this fall.
Sharon Walsh – Teacher 3’sMrs. Walsh is new to our school this September but not new to St. Paul’s Church. She has taught at St. Paul’s Sunday School for many years and is a parishioner at St. Paul’s. Mrs. Walsh has an associates degree in the Arts with a concentration in accounting. She has taken extensive courses in Early Childhood from CCRI and has taught preschool at Wickford Nursery for 15 years. Mrs. Walsh has taken the RILES Levels I&III and is currently enrolled in Level II.
Mary-Kate Mulligan – Teacher Assistant/Office ManagerMrs. Mulligan joined our staff at St. Paul’s Nursery School in 2005. She has worked as a parent volunteer assisting students in grades K-2 and teaching computer skills in the public schools. Mrs. Mulligan holds an A.S. degree in Travel and Tourism and a B.S. degree in Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Mrs. Mulligan has taken the RILES Level I training with the Dept. of Edu.
Laura Factor – Teacher Assistant/Lunch ProgramMrs. Factor has been a member of our staff since 2005. Mrs. Factor had her own home day care business for many years and more recently obtained her para-professional certificate and worked as a teaching assistant in the North Kingstown Public Schools. Mrs. Factor studied Theater at The California Institute of the Arts and English Literature at San Diego City College. Mrs. Factor holds a CNA certificate from the V.N.S. and has taken many courses toward her C.D.A. certification through NACYE. Mrs. Factor has taken the RILES Levels I&II trainings with the State Dept. of Edu.
Lynn Varone - Teacher AssistantMrs. Varone joined our staff at S.P.N.S. in 2006. She holds a teacher Assistant Certificate from the State of Rhode Island. Mrs. Varone earned her para-professional certificate from the State of RI. She worked in the North Kingstown Public Schools working with Special Needs Children since 2000. Prior to that, for many years, she ran a day care in her home. Mrs. Varone has taken the RILES Level I training from the state.
Maria Day Hyde - Music Teacher"Miss Maria" has been with St. Paul's Nursery School since 1991. Along with teaching music and theater in various private schools, she is also the proprietress of "Day Studios", where she teaches piano, voice and guitar to over 35 students. "Miss Maria has a B.F.A. degree in theater from URI.
