October 2007
Three Year Old Class News: The three year old class has had a great start to the 2007-08 school year. I would like to thank Mrs. Factor and Mrs. Varone for assisting in the classroom this year. We started in September welcoming all our children to school. Our theme was “All About Me.” We enjoyed getting to know one another. The children settled into their classroom, as well as all of the classroom routines, very nicely. We have learned all about apples and had the opportunity to do a taste test of red, green and yellow apples. What a great math and science lesson as well as a yummy, healthy treat. We have also introduced the five senses, looking eyes, listening ears, the sense of touch, smell, and taste, just by introducing the unit on apples. This was a fun month.

During October we will begin taking names for the school year 2008-09. We will be conducting tours of our school for families who may not be familiar with our programs. Nursery School alumni families and St. Paul’s parishioners will receive priority until October 31. Starting November 1. enrollment will be open to the community-at-large. Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2008 in order to participate. For more information or to schedule a visit, please call the school (295-7320).
The staff and children of St. Paul’s Nursery School would like to send a special thanks to Schartner Farms for donating the beautiful mums and mulch for our school. They really brighten up our entrance. Also a thank-you to Margaret Fonseca and Laura Factor for helping with the planting. Your efforts were greatly appreciated.
