Three Year Old Class News: February seemed to fly by with a much needed “Get Well” winter break in the middle of the month. Our themes revolved around friendship and Valentine’s Day, dental and healthy habits, Groundhog shadows, Black History and transportation. We made glittery Valentines and love bugs for our families and had a Valentine’s Day party. We painted with toothbrushes and red and white paint. We explored different forms of transportation and made car track paintings. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring so we can enjoy warmer weather and outside play.

Four Year Old Class News: February was a busy month for our 4 yr. olds as well. Our 4’s learned about the many holidays that are celebrated during this month. We watched for the Groundhog and learned there will be 6 more weeks of winter, we attended a special Ash Wednesday Chapel Time at church with father Phil and Buddy, we talked about Presidents Day and Lincoln’s and Washington’s Birthdays, we learned about the Chinese culture and celebrated the Chinese New Year with rice, oranges, chopsticks, fortune cookies and a dragon parade. For our Valentine’s party we broke a piñata which we had made together in class that week. We wrapped up the month with a unit on the 5 senses. Mare Studio visited to take our school pictures.
Lastly, the Nursery School staff would like to thank our families at St. Paul’s Nursery School for their generous donations and gift cards to the MacNeil/Muller family, who lost their home in a fire on January 23. Thankfully all five escaped without injury. Their daughter Mya is a student in our 4 yr. old program. We are truly blessed with wonderful, caring families at our school. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
God Bless,
