June 2007
Our last month of school was a busy one. We wrapped up the year with many end-of-year activities. Besides working on a special Mother’s Day project, we were busy finishing up our units on the alphabet, insects, life cycles of caterpillars and frogs, nutrition, and bus safety. We released the butterflies that we raised in school in the memorial garden at church with Father Phil. It was quite an experience watching them change. We have enjoyed watching the children change throughout the year, as well. Some of the special activities we enjoyed during May were:
- May Day Breakfast
- Parent/Teacher Conferences
- Open House for Next Year’s Students
- Sing-a-long
- School Bus Field Trip
- Sparky’s Puppets.
To all our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers and caregivers, thank you so very much for all your help inside and outside the classrooms. You made this year so special and successful. We could not have done it without you. Thank you for your help with monitoring the hall rooms, playing on game days, getting messy with special art projects, chaperoning on field trips, helping out with holiday parties, and coming in to read for birthday celebrations.
This last month of our school year was bittersweet. As we said good-bye to our 4-year olds (by now most have turned 5) and sent them off to kindergarten, we knew that our 3-year olds would be returning in September to start the Pre-K program. The year has flown by, but we will treasure many fond memories of the class of 2007.
Just a last note we still have a few openings in our 3- and 4-year old programs for September. Give us a call (295-7320) for more information.
