Three Year Old Class News: November was a great month. Our themes revolved around Families, Pilgrims, Native Americans and Thanksgiving. With these themes we were able to explore the five senses. The children painted with potatoes, they made Pilgrim hats, a special card for their families, and macaroni collages. These were just a few of the activities that we enjoyed this month. The children shared the many things they were thankful for and made their families a wreath of thanks.

Four Year Old Class News: During November the 4’s also focused on Thanksgiving and Native American units. We learned about the First Thanksgiving and talked about how we celebrate the holiday with our families. We made and decorated Native American headbands, vests and necklaces. We made Honor Sticks and participated in a Pow Wow and invited our families to join us. During Chapel Time, as we do every month, we talked about what we are thankful for… and you would be very proud of your children to hear some of their responses. Last month we also went on our annual field trip to John Leyden’s Christmas Tree Farm and decorated our tree there and learned about the importance of trees to our environment. November was busy but fun!

We are continuing to take names for next year’s enrollment. We have begun giving tours of our school. We have spaces still available for the 3’s and 4’s for next September. Enrollment is now open to the community. Please call the school (295-7320) for more information or to visit the school.
