Three Year Old Class News: The color of the month for March was green, and the shapes were ovals and shamrocks. Some of our themes this month revolved around the spring season: weather, rainbows, bugs and pond life. We started our planting unit by bringing plants into our room, growing grass heads and forcing forsythia branches. We also had “real” bunnies visit our room; they were so cute! With our celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, there was no lack of parties and fun.

Four Year Old Class News: During March we observed and recorded the weather each day to see if March really did come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. Some of our special days in March were: pajama day, St. Patrick’s Day, first day of spring, and our Easter celebration and egg hunt. One of our units for March was on nutrition and dental health, with a visit from a dental assistant and a very special “eggs”-periment. We ended the month with our signs-of-spring unit learning about spring, insects and plants. We were finally able to go outside on a more consistent basis – yay!
Registration is underway for 2008. We are adding a 3-year old class and hope to add another 4-year old class for September. We still have space available for next year’s enrollment. Give us a call (295-7320) to get more information and to set up a tour of the school.
