From the Director of Liturgy and Music

Mark Steinbach, DMA
Organist and Choirmaster

NOW is the time to join a choir at St. Paul’s. St. Paul’s Children’s Choir (1st through 3rd grade) will be rehearsing after the 8;30 service. Youth Choir (4th grade and older) will rehearse Wednesdays at 4:15.

The "Choir at 8" continues to welcome high-school age and above and sings at the Sunday 8:30 service, leading the hymns and service music. We have a good time worshipping together! This is a good group to join if you have had no previous vocal experience.

The Parish Choir rehearses Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 pm and sings weekly at the 10:30 service. We are always looking for new members who desire a challenge and want to stretch and grow together as we serve the parish.

Once again - if you play a musical instrument and would like to share at St. Paul’s, please contact me.

A great time was had by all at the annual St. Paul’s "Summer Sing" choir camp. We journeyed to the Yawgoo Valley waterslide, and made joyous noises. Thank you to our very talented youth volunteers Marc Donnelly and Michelle Deloge. Thank you also, Rozanne Fuller, for leading the 1st through 3rd graders. The Parish Choir sang period-appropriate works of Purcell for the Queen Anne festivities in August.

Mark your calendars now for the Michaelmas Evensong at the Old Narragansett Church Sunday, Oct. 2 at 7 pm. This is a special event not to be missed!

Peace,

Mark
