From the Director of Liturgy and Music
Mark Steinbach, DMA
Organist and Choirmaster
A warm thank you to all who lent a voice, or helping hand for the Epiphany Evensong at the Old Church.
Thank you to Father Fred Nestrock who so ably served as officiant. Thank you to each member of the parish choir and the three Kings: Camilla deRochambeau, Norm Poulin, and Fred Scheff. Thank you Altar Guild for providing light to guide our path. Thank you to our sexton(s) who cleared the lovely snow. Finally BRAVO to the hospitality crew Jackie Gildersleeve, Ann Waring, and Barbara Vollmar for preparing such an elegant reception. Thank you also Tina for hosting the pot-luck party afterwards. If you've ever wondered why the choir is such a closely knit group, ask a member about our parties! Consider joining one of the choirs for a particular season-maybe Easter? We are already beginning rehearsals for our Easter and Holy Week liturgies. Please see me if you are interested.
The youth choir had a midwinter rehearsal January 31 with 50 other choristers from around the state at St. Luke's East Greenwich to prepare for our April "All-State" Evensong. Please see Rozanne Fuller or myself to signup! Nancy Sherman has great music planned for the Children's Choir for our Easter liturgies. Now is the time to join up!
Thank you for your support of the music ministries at St. Paul's!
Peace,
Mark
