“On the twelfth day of Christmas…”
Yes, this year the twelfth day of Christmas, January 6, falls on a Sunday. We will commemorate the day with our annual Epiphany Evensong at the Old Narraganssett Church at 7 pm. The Parish Choir will render music of the English Tudor composer Thomas Morley and the German Romantic composer Josef Rheinberger. We are also expecting several surprise guests!
Thank you to the cast of volunteers who make the celebration of Christmas at St. Paul’s such a memorable event. Thank you to Joe Smith, Kevin O’Connor and the musicians of Updyke’s Rose, who helped out with services throughout the Christmas season. Kudos to Rozanne Fuller and Nancy Sherman for your inspiring leadership of the Youth Choir. And thank you to each participant in the Parish Choir, Youth Choir, and Choir at 8 for your dedication, commitment and joy in giving of your time and talents! Thanks also to our gifted instrumentalists: Pat Petersen, Perry Haynsworth, Sam Fuller and Jesse-Ray Leich.
A joyous New Year to all!
Mark
