Statement of Mission and Ministry

St. Paul's Church, Wickford is a loving community of Christians seeking to be faithful to God and renewed through the Gospel. The mission and ministry of St. Paul's is to love God through:

  • The sharing of the sacraments, worship and prayer,
  • Ministering to people and spreading God's word,
  • Seeking to become better stewards of God's gifts,
  • Working toward the Kingdom of God within us and in the world.

Please Help Feed the Food Pantry!
Are you hungry? We hope not! Too many in our community are, and they have a wonderful resource in our North Kingstown Food Pantry. Please consider bringing tuna or peanut butter or other nutritious nonperishable foods to church each week. They can be left in the food barrel at the church on Main Street. A small thing for each of us to do could mean a lot to someone else!

"All things come of thee, oh Lord,
and of thine own have we given thee"

Pledge Days will be spread over two weeks this year. They’ll be November 8, 9, 15 and 16. Please bring your pledge forms to the church on those days to offer them up to God, or send them to the church as soon as you are able. Remember the gifts that you have from God. Pray for God’s Spirit to enable you to be generous in sharing them. And offer your gifts with thankful hearts.

Our restored steeple
A major project during the summer of 2003 was the complete restoration of our bell tower. some pictures during restoration  (updated 12-13-03)

Restored Cross on steeple The completion of the work was cause for a Lift High The Cross celebration on Sunday, November 2, 2003, as the refurbished cross was raised to the top of the tower. This was a once in a lifetime experience.

St. Pauls received an award from the Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission on April 23, 2005 for the restoration of our bell tower.
