I can’t believe another year of Sunday School has finished. On May 20, we capped off the year with a celebration of youth and children at both services. What a great way to show off these amazing youth. This month I would like to thank everyone who helped out to make this year a success.
Thank you to the teachers. Without you, this program wouldn’t thrive. Your dedication is amazing. The kids love you, and their smiles show the joy in their hearts. Thank you to Bonnie Smith, Susie Leahy, Kathy Bellows, Kelli Gillis, Sindy Hempstead, Kevin O’Connor, Mary Ellen Madsen, Sarah LeBlanc, Sandra Tierney, Kathy Kuiper, Libby Cirillo, Alice Szrom, Pam Blodgett, Jayne Stockwell, Pete Bergwall and Jennifer Moretti. St. Paul’s is blessed to have such a wonderful, talented group of teachers.
Thank you to all the parents who helped out during the year. You helped in classrooms, provided snacks, donated supplies, and brought your children each week. Thank you for supporting this wonderful program.
Thank you to Kevin O’Connor, Buddy Cavalieri, Bonnie Smith, Joe Smith, the musicians of Updyke’s Rose, and Maria Day Hyde for providing music when needed. Music is a huge part of the program, and we thank you for sharing your gifts with us.
Thank you to Sindy Hempstead for sharing her storytelling with us on the first Sunday each month. The kids love your stories.
Thank you to the Hospitality Ladies for all the hard work that went into setting up the reception for Confirmation. As always, you did an amazing job. Thank you for honoring these great teenagers. Thanks to all the families who provided the food and helped out with the reception. You made the job much easier.
Thank you to all the tenth graders who were confirmed in May. I really enjoyed teaching your class and getting to know you. As I tell anyone who’ll listen, you are a special group of students. Good luck with all you do.
Last but not least, I would like to thank the clergy. Your support during the year was fantastic. Thank you for helping teach some of the sessions of the Emmaus class and Confirmation. The teachers and the youth really appreciate your sharing your advice and knowledge with these classes.
It’s been a wonderful year, and I look forward to seeing everyone again in September. We’re hoping to add some teachers to each classroom to allow more flexible scheduling for the teachers. If you’re interested in helping out next year, please let me know. Teaching these children is a wonderful experience.
