The final two months of Sunday School are upon us. Youth Sunday, on May 20, is fast approaching, yet there’s still so much to do. We’re looking forward to so many exciting activities.
The fifth grade Emmaus class has begun their classes with the clergy. They will make their banner for Youth Sunday, tour the Choir Loft with Dr. Mark, and learn their parts for their service, to name a few things. Any parent who missed the Parent Meeting needs to contact the teachers or myself to see what was missed. Remember attendance is very important in this class.
The third grade presented their version of the Easter play to the rest of the Sunday School. Thanks to their teachers, Sarah LeBlanc and Sandra Tierney, for the time and effort that went into this production. We really enjoyed learning about Holy Week and sharing the foods from the culture.
The Sunday School has begun learning a new song that we hope to present to the congregation in May. Thank you to Kevin for your effort in making this possible.
The Confirmation class enjoyed meeting with world- renowned artist Mimi Sammis this month. She took time out of her busy schedule to speak about her work and faith, and to lead us in a prayerful meditation using her favorite prayer. Thank you, Mimi, for leading this inspirational class.
We’re looking forward to these next few weeks of activities. Come join us. Bring a friend.
