There will be Sunday school on every Sunday during the month of March. This will allow us to have some continuity in our program that was absent during the winter months. New students are always welcome, as well as friends. We have lots of fun activities planned for the upcoming weeks.
- The Tenth grade confirmation students will be meeting with Father Phil for a question and answer session on March 15. This is a great class to have any questions answered about faith, the Episcopal Church, and confirmation. All tenth graders are welcome.
- Confirmation will be held on May 2, at 10 am, at the Cathedral in Providence. Please mark this date on your calendars and let me know if you are unable to attend on this date.
- The fifth grade Emmaus class will be meeting with Father Phil on March 1 for a question and answer session.
- Fifth graders are encouraged to attend classes during March because we will be covering a variety of topics of importance to the Emmaus class, including having a Seder to help explain the Eucharist, and determining what parts we would like to perform during the Youth Sunday repair on May 17th.
- With the Children’s Choir, we will be learning a new song to sing for the Church.
- All grades will be planning fun and interesting activities for the new month, as well as our newest informational community service project.
Thank you to Father Fred and Father Phil for leading the classes on the Instructed Eucharist with the Confirmation and Emmaus classes. The classes enjoyed learning about Communion in a new and enlightening way. We thank you for your time and knowledge, and we look forward to meeting with you again.
The Sunday school would like to thank everyone for the support of our Haiti project. In February, we sent a total of $1,028 to the Religious of Jesus and Mary Mission in Gros Morne, Haiti. Our contact there, Sister Jackie Picard, will be letting us know how we helped the local community that was devastated by the four hurricanes that hit there this past summer. Thanks you for your overwhelming support.~ Lori Lamb ~
