December brings the season of giving. This month our focus is on sharing God’s love. Through a variety of activities, the children will share their time and talents to emphasize Jesus’ teaching of helping others. The youth of St. Paul’s have so much love and energy to share; they always make the Christmas season an exciting and joyful time.
- December 2- Come join us, between services, as we honor our veterans by making Christmas cards. These cards will be distributed to our veterans here in RI. Supplies will be available, in the Parish Hall, for anyone who would like to make cards. Donations of unused Christmas cards and craft supplies will be gladly accepted. Please bring them to the Parish Hall that morning.
- December 2- Calling all shepherds, wise men, sheep… Pageant sign-up forms are due on this day. This year’s pageant is about to begin. Join us on Christmas Eve, as we tell the story of Jesus’ birth, complete with music and word. Last year we even had a frog participate. All children ages 3 and up are invited to take part in this much anticipated annual tradition. Speaking parts will be assigned to older children first.
- December 9, 16- Rehearsal, for speaking parts for the pageant, will be held during regular Sunday School class time.
- December 22- Pageant rehearsal 9-11 am in the church (sheep may arrive at 10:30 am). Any parents interested in helping with rehearsal and pageant, please let me know.
- December 24- Christmas Eve. Service with Pageant, 3 pm. Participants need to arrive at 2:15.
- December 23, 30- Community Worship (school vacation)
Enjoy this magical time of year with these wonderful children. The true meaning of Christmas is alive and well in our church. These children express so much love and joy to the community around them. Registration forms, for both the pageant and Sunday School, are available in the Parish Hall on Sunday mornings.
