Sunday School has begun. If you would like your child to attend, please come register them on Sunday mornings during the 8:30 service. We love to see new faces, and it’s never too late to sign up. Thank you to all the teachers who have volunteered to give of their time and talents. I would like to thank our newest teachers Ken Proudfoot (HS/Confirmation class) and Jane Winter (5th grade) who volunteered to co-teach these classes. Also, thank you to Jayne McBride and Pete Bergwall, who will be returning to teach the Middle School class, and Kelly Frye, who volunteered to help out in the PK/K class. Our Sunday School is such a success because of our great volunteers.

The High School class will meet from 9:30-10:30 am on Sunday mornings. Any High School student may attend this class. It will cover a variety of topics of interest to High School students. This call is mandatory for 10th graders interested in receiving their confirmation. It will be taught by Jean Whatmough and Ken Proudfoot. You can register during regular class time.

The fifth grade “Emmaus class” has begun. During the year, we will explore the meaning of communion and the church in a deeper way. It is a fun class that will end with the students participating in the Youth Sunday service as readers, ushers, acolytes, etc. It is the beginning of the student’s journey to a deeper understanding of God that will continue through Confirmation and adulthood. Any fifth grader interested may register on Sunday morning.

We have plenty of fun activities planned for the fall. All youth ages three through High School are invited to attend classes on Sunday mornings. We have a great group of creative teachers and a new curriculum for the new year. Remember, friends are always welcome.

Finally, a special thank you to Nancy Preston for sewing the altar cloth for Sunday School. It was a great help, thank you!
